UPCOMING ACTIVITIES

Friday, August 23 at 6:30 PM: Join us on the beach (at the Poplar Drive access) for a "no-host" gathering. 

Saturday, August 24 at 9:15 AM: Come for coffee and donut holes and meet your neighbors and board members prior to the membership meeting at the Southern Community Center in Lusby.

Saturday, August 24 at 10:00 AM: Membership meeting of the Cove Point Beach Association, Inc. at the Southern Community Center. 


ROAD WORK ANNOUNCEMENT

Next week, weather permitting, our annual road work will be performed.  Additionally, the roadbed on Calvert Blvd. will be reclaimed on both sides of the road...getting rid of weeds that have taken over the roadbed. So please don't park on Calvert Blvd. once work begins. As a reminder, all the dirt/gravel roads in Cove Point Beach (which are maintained by the Association) continue to have a speed limit of 15 mph. Lighthouse Blvd. (maintained by the county) has a speed limit of 25 mph. Please be aware of children on and near the roads and abide by the posted speed limits.

​AUGUST MEETING NOTICE

​​The Cove Point Beach Association, Inc. meeting will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Southern Community Center. If you prefer to participate via Zoom, please email Secretary@covepointbeach.com for a meeting link.

SOCIAL GATHERING

​Join neighbors at a Beach Gathering on Sunday, May 26 at 6:30 PM at the Poplar St. access. Bring your own beverage and a chair and sit by the fire to enjoy s'mores and the sunset.


ANNUAL DUES

2024 Member Invoices were emailed to members on April 26. Please remit your annual dues by June 1.


SPRING MEETING

This year's spring meeting of the Cove Point Beach Association, Inc. membership will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Southern Community Center. If you prefer to participate via Zoom, please email Secretary@covepointbeach.com for a meeting link.


LIGHTHOUSE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Every year between May 1 and September 30, the Cove Point Lighthouse property (owned by Calvert County and managed by the Calvert Marine Museum) is open to the public on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons and on holidays from 1-4 PM. Volunteers trained and assigned by the Calvert Marine Museum host the public sessions and serve as docents. There is a need for additional volunteers. If interested, you may call Sherry Reid, CMM Director of Volunteers (410-326-2042 x8085), or CPBA Board member Bert Lane (301-788-2574).​​

 – Remind your family and guests not to enter the water at the point near the lighthouse due to the deadly currents; thus, avoid the water in that area.
